Reflection

This course is very different from what I imagined at the beginning. I thought it would focus on the series design of fonts and apply them to commercial needs such as packaging or advertising design. But after a few classes, I gradually understood that font design also requires a certain knowledge base as an aesthetic precipitation. Only after a better understanding of the font design process can you use your own ideas on it. From ancient times to the present, font design has not only changed and diversified in aesthetics, but more importantly, it has inherited the details and rules that fonts need to pay attention to in order to adapt to the times and communication media. This allows future generations to save a lot of time without having to rethink and complete font design with fewer defects.
